COMMUNICASIA 2006, SINGAPORE, Booth 4D4-12 - June. 20, 2006. UMTS, the emerging 3G mobile technology standard, requires carriers to put stronger emphasis on network rollout for solving hotspot capacity and cell breathing issues and providing service inside buildings. Coiler's UMTS Repeater, introduced today at the CommunicAsia Expo, is effectively addressing these new coverage considerations.
Coiler Corporation, a leading supplier of indoor coverage solutions for RF signal enhancement, introduced the latest addition to its Band Selective Repeater's family - the BR-2200 UMTS Repeater.
The Coiler UMTS Repeater is ideal for UMTS network operators looking for a quick and cost effective coverage solution that is capable of filling in gaps in indoor coverage and handling high density traffic. The BR-2200 Repeater provides customizable bandwidth within the 10MHz or 15MHz range and a +20dBm power output optimized for coverage of medium and small indoor areas, where users tend to cluster together. When installed in areas such as restaurants, coffee shops and telecom stores, the repeater provides mobile users with undisturbed high quality voice and data communication.
To enable flexible adoption to outside signal strength, the Coiler UMTS Repeater features adjustable gain from 39dB up to 70dB. BR-2200 also offers integrated remote control unit, which enables advanced remote management features via Coiler Operation and Maintenance System. For local management BR-2200 offers build-in keypad.
