Coiler's Operation and Maintenance Center (OMC) is a software application that enables remote monitoring and management of Coiler's RF repeaters on a network as well as via a local repeater setup. The Coiler OMC system reduces the need for costly and time-consuming on-site visits, providing RF technicians with powerful remote configuration and alarm reporting tools.
Management functions enable remote control of the repeater's adjustable parameters including gain, output power and AGC functionality. An alarm message is generated if a fault has occurred in any of the repeaters and will be sent to the OMC Center, as well as to a technician responsible for a specific site. Coiler OMC also offers advanced user and log management, as well as reporting functions. Access to Coiler's OMC can be controlled by multi-level password protection to ensure complete control and safety.
The newest version of Coiler's OMC also offers an all-new, clean and simple user interface that is easy to learn and navigate while offering similar functionality to the Microsoft Windows environment. A simplified tree structure enables convenient geographical categorization of the repeaters.
Communication between the OMC and the repeaters is ensured via a short messaging system through a wireless modem, or locally through an RS-232 cable. The OMC system can remotely control up to 16,000 repeaters on a network. Coiler's OMC software is compatible with Microsoft Windows 2000 or later.
